The 2021-22 Harris Theater Presents season opens with Sam Trump’s Interplay, a free, outdoor event for all ages on the HT Rooftop overlooking Millennium Park. Curated in partnership with composer, trumpet player, and multiinstrumentalist Sam Trump; the event will feature creative voices from throughout Chicago, spanning generations and genres – from venerated jazz vocalists Dee Alexander and Maggie Brown, to the transformative poetry and movement of youth-driven Kuumba Lynx, to Sam Trump’s own band Soul Vortex, and more. Family-friendly activities, storytelling, and featured makers and vendors will add to the interactive, inclusive atmosphere.
